How This Generator Works

Every palette here follows the interior design 60-30-10 rule: roughly 60% of the room in your dominant wall colour, 30% in a secondary tone (the ceiling and trim), and 10% in an accent used on one wall and in furnishings or soft furnishings. Rather than generating random hex codes, each of the five moods above (Warm & Cozy, Cool & Calm, Bold & Vibrant, Minimal & Neutral, Earthy & Natural) has three hand-curated palette variations built around colours that are actually available from major Indian paint brands, so what you see here is achievable, not just theoretical.

The room type you select does not change the colours themselves, but it does change the guidance shown beneath the palette, because the same colour works differently in different rooms. A bold accent wall that feels dramatic and intentional in a dining room can feel heavy in a small bedroom used for rest. Kitchens and bathrooms get a note about keeping upper walls and ceilings light regardless of mood, since both rooms benefit from a brighter, easier-to-clean feel.

The natural light toggle is a reminder, not a colour swap: rooms with low natural light will make every colour in a palette read slightly darker and cooler than it looks on your screen, especially in the evenings. For rooms with limited daylight, pair your chosen palette with warm-white LED lighting (around 3000K colour temperature) to prevent the wall colour from looking muddy or flat.

Use the "Shuffle Another Palette" button to cycle through the three curated variations within your selected mood until you find the balance of warmth, contrast and formality that matches your home. Tapping any swatch copies its hex code to your clipboard, so you can share it directly with a painter or look it up against a physical shade card in-store.

Tip: always buy a small sample pot before committing to a full room. Paint a patch at least 2 feet wide on the actual wall and view it in your room's morning, afternoon and evening light, screens and shade cards are never a perfect match for how a colour behaves in your specific space.

Ask Us Directly
How were these colour palettes chosen?

Each palette follows the interior design 60-30-10 rule (60% dominant wall colour, 30% secondary/accent, 10% accent furnishings), curated for Indian homes and tested against Bengal’s natural light conditions, not generated randomly.

Will these colours look the same on my wall as on screen?

Screen colours are always an approximation. Always test a small paint sample on your actual wall and view it at different times of day before committing to a full room.

Can your designers help me pick the exact paint brand and finish?

Yes. During a free consultation, our designers match this palette to specific paint brand shade codes and recommend the right finish (matte, satin, semi-gloss) for each room.
